Prospector Aerial Image of Park City Utah

At the end of the fourth quarter of 2019, the overall year-over-year real estate statistics for Utah's Summit and Wasatch Counties continued to show strong appreciation with increases in both average and median sale price as well as dollar volume as reported by the Park City Board of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service. The Park City market in general continues to show great stability in single family homes. The number of homes sold increased 4% with the median sale price rising 12% year over year. During the same period in 2018, the median sale price gained 7% indicating a sustained period of steady, consistent growth.

The strongest single-family price gains appeared in the fast growing Jordanelle area to the southeast of the Park City metro area,

The 4th of July Parade on Park City's historic Main Street is one of the premier events of the year. We highly recommend getting to Main Street extra early to reserve a space for seating. Bring a blanket, pop-up chairs, etc. You can even bring a cooler for drinks and snacks.

We invite your family to be our guests at our Sotheby's Main Street office located at 625 Main Street to celebrate the 4th of July. Our doors will open at 10 AM, with the Parade starting at 11 AM. historic home in park city's old town neighborhood

Wow, another report of statistical real estate data showing some impressive numbers. It has continued to be a very busy selling season in the greater Park City area, and we just don't see any signs of a significant slowdown anytime soon. At the end of the first Quarter of 2019, in comparing year over year, we again see a slight decline in unit sales but an increase in price.

The entire Park City MLS, if we include all residential, fractional and commercial properties, saw 2,864 properties sell, compared to 2,686 for the prior 12 months. That is only a difference of 6% and is still a staggering amount of sales activity for this small (but growing) resort community. Even more impressive is the sheer volume of just over $2.5 Billion in closed sales.

snowmobiling near park city utah

It's that time of year again, when the ski resorts in Park City close, but we are still getting amazing snow in the higher elevations. One option to enjoy the powder is to head over for a ski day at Brighton or Snowbird. Brighton typically stays open through the third week of April, while Snowbird will run as long as there is snow - for 2019 they will probably go into June. Driving to either Brighton or Snowbird is less than an hour from Park City and is a real treat since our PC resorts have been closed for a couple weeks.

EASILY RENT SNOWMOBILES AT DANIELS SUMMIT

Another really fun way to enjoy the last few snow storms is to head over to Daniels Summit for a day of snowmobiling. Daniels Summit is only about 35 minutes from Park City, and with

The 2018 year-end housing statistics for Summit & Wasatch Counties, as reported by the Park City Board of REALTORS®, revealed a diverse and mixed market. While there was a 7% decrease in the number of home sales, the Wasatch Back saw a 7% increase in median price.

Looking at the entire Park City MLS, for all product types, we have enjoyed a trend of upward momentum in units sales since the low in 2009. With eight years of increased activity, we now finally see a slight decline for the year end results of 2018. The 2001 through 2005 increase of activity was a much more dramatic increase in sales, and probably too much too fast. The last eight years we have had a steady increase, and possibly a healthier outcome for the real estate market.

jupiter bowl at park city ski resort

The Park City Board of Realtors hosted a luncheon on November 8, 2018. Typically the highlight event of the luncheon series, this is the event to receive ski resort updates directly from the people who run the resorts.

Park City Resort

Park City resort is scheduled to open on Wednesday, November 21st, the day before Thanksgiving. At the Canyon side of the mountain, many complaints have revolved around the slow speed of the fixed chair for High Meadow – a popular beginner's area for that side of the resort. The other common complaint has been that the hillside for that run was comprised of a steeper slope for the beginning, and then just a bit too flat further down. Not the best ski run for learning. They have replaced this lift, and now it only

Rendering of Treasure Development in Park City Utah

The 2018 mid-term elections are over and although the national balance of power between the Republicans and Democrats was on the forefront of national news, in Park City the future of a large scale development was the talk of the town.

For nearly three decades there has been concern and uncertainty of a massive, large-scale development that would loom over Old Town and historic Main Street. Throughout the years, many of us doubted if the construction of this project was even financially feasible. With out-of-state developers recently coming into Park City and Deer Valley, equipped with deep pockets and strong financial backing, the possibility or even certainty of the land getting developed had become more of a reality.

On Tuesday, November 6th,
