Construction has begun on a brand new real estate development in the Silver Lake area of Upper Deer Valley. The project has long been referred to as North Silver Lake, but will now be named the Stein Eriksen Residences. The developer, Regent Properties, has recently restarted construction of the infrastructure and a model home. The new development will include a mix of homes and condos for sale, situated at the intersection of Deer Valley Resort's "Last Chance" and "Silver Dollar" ski runs. "Best Town Ever" According to Outside Magazine readers who voted for the Best Town in America to Live for 2013. Park City appears on the cover of the magazine, showcasing a mountain biker on the Lost Prospector trail overlooking Old Town Park City. The cover says: "America's Best Towns. 18 Perfect Places to Live".

We often are asked "Where is a great place to hike in Park City?" So, we finally have gotten out ourselves and have been exploring some great hikes that have been recommended to us over the years. As an avid mountain biker and skateboarder, I simply have not dedicated much time to hiking. Wow! Was I amazed to find a few of these great hikes that we have right in our backyard. A few weeks ago we posted about a great hike off of Guardsman Pass going up the ridge to Peak 10,420'. It was a beautiful high elevation hike with distant views. And that was only the tip of the iceberg!

Park City Enjoys Largest Quarter of Real Estate Sales in Five Years.


Both the number of sales and the median sales price are up over last year's numbers in the Greater Park City Area according to the 2013 second quarter statistics released by the Park City Board of REALTORS®. With a total of 991 sales to date — a 19% increase over the same time period in 2012 - the first half of 2013 had the highest number of sales since the first half of 2007. In fact, the number of sales is 21% higher, by quarter, than any quarter in the last five years. The total sales dollar volume is also up 19% over the same time-period last year, reaching over $698 million to date, which is also the highest total dollar volume since 2007. The

Great news for season pass holders at Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort. The two Park City resorts, along with Alta and Snowbird in Little Cottonwood Canyon have agreed to offer ski passes to visit each resort. This will be a "thank you" benefit to season pass holders this winter.

The four resorts have set their own requirements for the eligibility of their pass holders. For Park City Mountain Resort, all 2013-14 season passholders who add at least one "My Pass. My Way" features will receive 3 free 1-day lift tickets each at Alta, Deer Valley and Snowbird resorts during the 2013-14 winter season.
