IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

Just off the beaten path of Park Ave, you can find a cafe full of delicious meals and coffee literally flown in from the other side of the planet. Owners Andrew and Tiffany who hail from Australia, and their manager Gabe have gone to great lengths to make sure that your experience at Five Seeds is not only delicious but full of culture. This week I had the pleasure of sitting with Andrew, Tiffany, Gabe, and a table full of their incredible food. We talked about their love of food, their homeland of Australia, and how they brought it all together for the folks of Park City.

What brought you all to Park City?
Skiing of course!! Our kids (they have 5, hence the name 5 Seeds) love skiing and ski racing. We came here from

A FROZEN WINTER WONDERLAND

Checking out Midway's famous Ice Castles should definitely be a must do on your winter to-do-list! No matter your age, you are sure to enjoy the grandness and specter of the famous Ice Castles in Midway, located at The Homestead Resort. There are currently six Ice Castle locations in the United States, including Midway.

The very first of the Ice Castles was built right here in Alpine, Utah, in the front yard of Ice Castle's founder, Brent Christensen. He was building an ice cave for his daughter and tried out an idea of spraying a wood frame with water. His daughter named the structure the “Ice Castles” and the name has stuck ever since.

A lot of hard work goes into creating these frozen wonders, each one of the Ice

Is there radon in your Park City home?

January is Radon Action Month. So what is Radon? And why is there a whole month of action for it?

Radon is a cancer-causing radioactive gas. It comes from the natural decay of uranium that is found in nearly all soils. Radon can be found all over the U.S. It typically moves up through the ground to the air above and into your home through cracks and other holes in the foundation. Your home traps radon inside, where it can build up. Any home may have a radon problem, this means new and old homes, well-sealed and drafty homes, and homes with or without basements. You can’t see radon, you can’t smell it or taste it, hence the call to action. You and your family are most likely to get your greatest exposure to radon at home, where you spend most of

Sundance is nearly upon us, January 18-28 is the slotted time for Sundance 2018. While most locals know it's the best time to ski (typically a quiet time on the mtn), always stock up on your groceries prior to opening day, and if you do venture into town be prepared to have patience because traffic will be heavy. It is also a great time to take in some films and do some of the best people watching you will ever see.

There are still a few tickets available, and as a added bonus Utah residents get a discount, below are links on film schedules and ticket packages and prices. As for volunteering it is to late to sign up this year, however we will provide a link below so you can get involved in Sundance 2019.
