What is happening at the new Deer Valley East Village? Quite a lot. There has been strong sales activity over the last year, and more options will soon hit the market. Construction of Deer Valley’s East Village Lodge (Village Skier Services Facility, or VASSF) is progressing rapidly, with substantial completion expected by September 2026. Temporary skier services will be available for the 2025/26 ski season. Current construction updates include completion of the concrete structure, the first section of the steel roof for Building A and the Gondola Access building, and ongoing installation of non-structural metal framing and mechanical equipment.

Sales at the Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Deer Valley are progressing well, with more than 40% of the development already sold. The project includes a 134-room hotel and 123 private residences—55 in Tower B and 68 in Tower C. All 144 estate lots at Marcella have been sold, and construction is underway on the final development pod, McHenry, which includes 22 estate homes. The first estate home at 1851 W. Galena Ridge Way sold in October. The home was stunning, with great views, and was listed at $21,000,000. Call us if you'd like info on the closed sale price. In Marcella Landing, vertical construction is underway, with framing and steel for the first unit topping off. Sales have been strong, with 19 of the 50 townhomes sold, and prices now reaching $11 million or more. Cormont, featuring 372 condominiums across five buildings, is progressing steadily in construction. Building 1 has completed its first concrete slab deck, the building permit for the west parking garage has been issued, and Building 5's permit is under review. 71 units now under contract, according to the Park City MLS. Construction of the Canopy by Hilton at Deer Valley is well underway, featuring a 180-key hotel across from Pioche Residences and next to the Jordanelle Express Gondola. Staffing for the hotel is progressing, with the General Manager and CFO already hired. The hotel is expected to open in the summer of 2026.

Excavation, footings, and shear wall construction are progressing on East Village Lot 5, which will feature a future five-star hotel and residences. Financing for the project is underway, and the brand agreement with the five-star hotel is nearing finalization. The development will include 132 hotel rooms and 105 condominiums, with 56 units in the hotel tower and 49 in the private residences tower. Marketing for the private residences is expected to begin next winter.

Velvaere is enjoying recent sales success, with sixteen estate lots sold and other lots currently under construction. Construction is ongoing on the first two cabins and the Wellness Center, and the Adventure Center will begin soon. Below the Velvaere site, plans call for developing the Evermore Resort on the 13-acre parcel, which will offer direct ski access to Deer Valley via Lift 11, set to open for the 2025/26 ski season.

Deer Valley Resort is undergoing significant upgrades and expansions, focusing on lift installation, snowmaking infrastructure, and new facilities, including the Park Peak day lodge and Hail Peak ski facility. With industry-leading improvements by Extell, the resort is set to deliver the largest ski expansion in history. Anticipating the opening of new terrain and lifts during the fourth week of December (week of December 22), Deer Valley plans to unveil over 3,700 skiable acres, featuring 100 new runs and 10 new lifts, including the East Village Express gondola. Installation of 897 snowmaking guns and 80 miles of snowmaking pipeline is already underway, along with construction of three new pump houses and a 10-million-gallon snowmaking pond. Once completed, Deer Valley will offer more than 5,700 skiable acres, 37 chairlifts, and 238 runs, ensuring a seamless experience from Deer Valley East Village to the summit.
