With the holiday season in full swing, we thought we would share a few of our favorite holiday decorating ideas to help get everyone in a festive mood.

Craft Playful Button Yarn Trees
Here's a fun holiday decoration that the kids will love helping with. Just glue yarn to inexpensive foam topiary forms then add buttons in assorted colors and sizes. All materials could be easily purchased at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

Sprigs of Evergreens
A vase filled with evergreen clippings (available at Park City Nursery) is a handy stand-in for a Christmas tree in small spaces. Thanksgiving is only weeks away, and most of us will be lucky enough to be spending the holiday's with our loved ones enjoying the delicious foods that come with the holiday's. But not everyone is as fortunate.

In the state of Utah, 1 in 7 children go to bed hungry every night. Last year the Park City Board of Realtors, with the help of the community, provided 2,300 turkeys to those in need – this year the goal is 2,500.

Park City's food pantry on Munchkin Road provides food to 60 Park City families per day. They provide items such as canned goods, dried foods, as well as bakery products, milk and produce. This year the food pantry has a list of 850 families in need of a Thanksgiving bird. Help the Park City Board of Realtors give hunger the bird, and

GOURMET ON THE GO

The historic Imperial House at the top of Main was impeccably renovated last year and is now home to Riverhorse Provisions. Riverhorse on Main's co-owner Seth Adams is responsible for the revival of this historic land mark. However chef Mark Peterson has taken RHP on as his baby, and transformed the Imperial House into a gourmet cafe/market, truly unique to Park City. Recently I got to sit with Mark and talk about how RHP is one of the best of places to Enjoy Park City.

How long has RHP been open?
Almost a year, we opened last December. And we had quite an eventful month. Upstairs in the market shortly after the new wood shelves had been stained the rags used spontaneously combusted inside a garbage can starting a fire in the middle…

With the holiday season quickly approaching, we all hopefully begin to get into that generous giving spirit. And start thinking of ways to give back to the community we love. So many of us are fortunate enough to live and work in this beautiful place, and be part of a community that truly looks out for one another. However on the other side of our thriving resort/service community is those who need community support for housing, healthcare, day care, and that is just naming a few of the many, many non-profit organizations that will benefit from this one event.

The Park…

With Halloween only two weeks away, we thought we would share a few of our favorite Halloween decorating ideas, to help get you and your home ready for All Hallows Eve.

Spook Up the Front Porch
Even if Halloween guests never enter your home — aka trick-or-treaters — they'll definitely see the front porch so give it a festive feel with a colorful rug, lanterns, mums and piles of pumpkins. For a spooktastic finishing touch, we added a pair of pre-lit spooky trees (available at Pier One) that come pre-wrapped in mini orange lights that'll cast a spell long after the witching hour has passed.

Pick a Palette
Limiting your decor's color palette to just a few shades creates a look that's perfectly pulled together. For our Halloween mantel, we chose black-and-white…
