An Amazing National Park only 4 hours from Park City!

Many of the great things about living in Park City are not even in Park City itself. Park City is of course an amazing place to live and visit, but what makes it even more amazing are all the nearby fun things to do and see. Utah is possibly one of the most beautiful states in the U.S. and is for sure one of the most diverse in landscape, scenery and ecosystems. From staggering tall and green mountains in the north end of the state, to exquisite deserts of sand and world-famous red rock in the south, there is no end to the "must see" list in Utah. Be sure to check out our photos of "Angels Landing" below:

Recommendations on a few top choices of trails in Park City Utah.

Its summertime in Park City and for those lucky enough to know, summer can be just as much fun (or more so) as our popular winter season. As we get through June, we typically see the mountain trails open up as the higher elevation snow finally melts away. For the past few weeks we have been mostly confined to the lower elevation trails for hiking and biking such as the very popular and easy Round Valley. Round Valley is a great choice for early and late season riding. It is at a lower elevation, and gets a lot of sun so the area dries out quickly and is one of the first locations to be ridable in spring.

September is probably the best month for mountain biking in Park City. As the start of the fall season, September is usually still warm, but no longer hot as in July or August. We often get a little rain to pack down the dusty trails and it gives the dirt have just the right amount of moisture for that perfect tacky texture. Also this time of year you'll see the colors starting to change and some beautiful pop of bright reds and oranges against a still very green backdrop. The days wil typically get up to about 80, and commonly will stay in the 70's. At night however, it does get cool, often down in to the 40's and 50's. October can be a mixed bag of weather, very nice or starting to snow, so September is really the best time to come out. Many of us have

Park City's winter season is now over, with all three Park City ski resorts now closed. Even though we had much less snow this year, especially compared to the ultra amazing year we had last year, it was still a lot of fun.  Instead of snow, we did get a lot of sunny days on the mountain. And although we had less snow, we still had a couple really great days, so we cannot complain too much!

If you still have the desire to get out on snow, Brighton, Alta, and Snowbird are still open. Brighton and Alta will be closing soon, while Snowbird will stay open for at least a few more weeks. Snowbird usually remains open for a couple weeks after most resorts close, and then they switch to a weekends only schedule for the remaining few weeks. They will stay open

We just received nearly 3 feet of snow in the last 2 days! It started out as rain which was quite upsetting for mid-March! I was at Silver Star at Park City the other day watching two families checking in for the week, and such long faces of sadness they had! I did tell them not to worry, that the rain would soon turn to snow and it would get really good, I was hoping I was correct.

I was. The rain we saw on saturday quickly turned to snow, and did not stop. Yesterday might have been good as well, but we waited until today to go up. It was amazing, probably the best day of the year. We have had a few other really great pow days, but this was quite good. Heather and I got up there right away at 9am, and did runs until about noon. We took a few on
