GOURMET ON THE GO

The historic Imperial House at the top of Main was impeccably renovated last year and is now home to Riverhorse Provisions. Riverhorse on Main's co-owner Seth Adams is responsible for the revival of this historic land mark. However chef Mark Peterson has taken RHP on as his baby, and transformed the Imperial House into a gourmet cafe/market, truly unique to Park City. Recently I got to sit with Mark and talk about how RHP is one of the best of places to Enjoy Park City.

How long has RHP been open?
Almost a year, we opened last December. And we had quite an eventful month. Upstairs in the market shortly after the new wood shelves had been stained the rags used spontaneously combusted inside a garbage can starting a fire in the middle…

In Park City, Utah Halloween is a big deal, for kids, for big kids (adults) and even for pets! Each year there is a big parade and trick-or-treat event right on historic Main Street. The street is closed off for the afternoon, and it gives a great opportunity for the kids to get out and enjoy the Halloween fun before dark, and before it gets too cold (often can be quite cold or snowing on Halloween). For the parents it is a chance to see all the other parents and have fun together as one large group in a safe and fun setting. The stores are all involved, handing out candy and treats. Even the pets are in on it!  Some of the best costumes are on the dogs. Below is a picture of Heather with our dog Brinkley (a Bernese Mountain Dog) dressed up as a Lady

As a special treat and a twist on the monthly Gallery Stroll, the Park City Gallery Association presents the September Fashion Stroll on Friday, September 30 from 6 to 9 P.M. The Gallery Association has teamed up with Farasha Boutique to combine the art of fashion with the fine arts. For one night only, galleries in Park City are celebrating fall fashion by displaying and selling the work of up-and-coming, independent designers in their galleries to supplement their fine art collections.  The galleries will showcase clothing, jewelry, accessories and shoe designers from Utah and beyond.
