Utah Ski Resorts Looking to Extend the Ski Season

Deer Valley Resort and Park City Mountain enjoyed a record February with over 100 inches of snow. With ski conditions so good and a base depth above average this year, a few of Utah's resorts have decided to extend their ski season an additional week or two. Closing day will now be on Sunday, April 21st, 2024, for Deer Valley Resort. Snowbasin also recently announced they will extend by two weeks to April 28th. A few Utah ski resorts have yet to commit to a closing day, but it will likely be between the 21st - and 28th. Snowbird typically runs the longest ski season, going into Memorial Day weekend. With sunny days and blue skies, there is nothing like spring skiing in Utah.

Current list of ski resort closing dates as of March 19, 2024:

Alta - April 21
Brighton - TBD
Deer Valley Resort - April 21
Park City Mountain - April 22
Powder Mountain - April 7
Snowbasin - April 28
Snowbird - TBD
Solitude - May 12, conditions permitting
Sundance - TBD
