August Kicks Off with Park City's Kimball Arts Festival

Art lovers rejoice! Hundreds of North American artists will descend upon Park City’s Historic Main Street to showcase and sell their works during the Kimball Arts Festival, August 3 to 5. Home to what has become one of the top-rated arts festivals in the U.S., Park City once again has the chance to shine for the 49th annual festival. This year, 225 artists were selected via a blind jury and invited to participate. They will come from 34 states and Canada.

Not only is this all-weekend event a celebration of art, but it also serves as the largest fundraiser for the Kimball Art Center. This year, on Wednesday, July 4th, plan to stop by to say Hi at our Sotheby's Main Street office located at 625 Main Street. We invite your family to be our guests and celebrate the 4th of July with us. Our doors will open at 10 AM, with the Parade starting at 11 AM. We highly recommend getting to Main Street extra early to reserve a space for seating, and it fills up quickly along Main Street. Spring Home Maintenance Tips

Spring is here, and so are the chores that go along with it. Here are ten helpful tips for spring home maintenance.

• Examine roof shingles to see if any were lost or damaged during winter. If your home has an older roof covering, you may want to start a budget for replacement. The summer sun can really damage roof shingles. Shingles that are cracked, buckled or loose or are missing granules need to be replaced. Flashing around plumbing vents, skylights and chimneys need to be checked and repaired by a qualified roofer.
• Probe the Wood Trim, use a screwdriver to probe the wood trim around windows, doors, railings, and decks. Make repairs now before the spring rains do more damage to the exposed wood.
