An Amazing National Park only 4 hours from Park City!

Many of the great things about living in Park City are not even in Park City itself. Park City is of course an amazing place to live and visit, but what makes it even more amazing are all the nearby fun things to do and see. Utah is possibly one of the most beautiful states in the U.S. and is for sure one of the most diverse in landscape, scenery and ecosystems. From staggering tall and green mountains in the north end of the state, to exquisite deserts of sand and world-famous red rock in the south, there is no end to the "must see" list in Utah. Be sure to check out our photos of "Angels Landing" below:

Recommendations on a few top choices of trails in Park City Utah.

Its summertime in Park City and for those lucky enough to know, summer can be just as much fun (or more so) as our popular winter season. As we get through June, we typically see the mountain trails open up as the higher elevation snow finally melts away. For the past few weeks we have been mostly confined to the lower elevation trails for hiking and biking such as the very popular and easy Round Valley. Round Valley is a great choice for early and late season riding. It is at a lower elevation, and gets a lot of sun so the area dries out quickly and is one of the first locations to be ridable in spring.

You'll hear this phrase often; "We came for the winters, but stayed for the Summers!" That is true for just about every resident of Park City. Summer here is truly amazing. If you have not spent much time here in Summer yet, you have got to give it a try, especially if you live somewhere hot, this is a great escape from the heat.

We are so excited to be back into Summer. Most of the snow has melted away, aside from a few random patches still remaining. The mountains are getting very green, the trails are in great condition, and the temperature is in its ideal range of upper 60's and 70's. The above photo of our dog, Brinkley, was taken only a couple…

The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) recently named Park City a Gold Level Ride Center, making Park City the first town in the world to receive the honor!

As Park City Realtors we fully understand the importance of our amazing trails network. It is one of the most important aspects we get to boast about for our beloved town. We are members, and fully support the Mountain Trails Foundation. MTF is a non-profit organization that creates, and maintains trails throughout the Park City and Deer Valley area. Mountain Trail's director, Charlie Sturgis submitted Park City's application for the award. According to a press release, Park City received a score of 96, out of 100, and no other town has yet to achieve higher than a 90. Multiple towns…

Park City's winter season is now over, with all three Park City ski resorts now closed. Even though we had much less snow this year, especially compared to the ultra amazing year we had last year, it was still a lot of fun.  Instead of snow, we did get a lot of sunny days on the mountain. And although we had less snow, we still had a couple really great days, so we cannot complain too much!

If you still have the desire to get out on snow, Brighton, Alta, and Snowbird are still open. Brighton and Alta will be closing soon, while Snowbird will stay open for at least a few more weeks. Snowbird usually remains open for a couple weeks after most resorts close, and then they switch to a weekends only schedule for the remaining few weeks. They will stay open…

FINALLY!!! We just received about 4 feet of snow at all of our Park City, and northern Utah ski resorts. Its been a long wait, but better late than never!

The image below is from the KSL news broadcast showing the big snow totals from the storm. Powder Mountain and Snowbasin are about 50 minutes to the north. Alta is over by Snowbird in Little Cottonwood Canyon and only about 50 minutes away from Park City. They did not show Deer Valley or Park City on this list, but I did see a report showing Park City at 41 inches so far, and I had heard Deer Valley had a little more than Park City resort. I was up on McConkeys lift at Park City resort yesterday and there was an easy 2 feet of fresh on top of about a new 2 foot soft base. Many turns were bottomless,…
