Live PC Give PC Day of Giving

There is one day a year when the spirit of Park City seems to shine the very brightest, and that is Live PC Give PC. The annual community day of giving, spearheaded by the Park City Community Foundation, takes place on Friday, November 8 this year. It’s an opportunity for everyone in town to donate to their favorite non-profits that they feel enrich their lives or the lives of others in Summit County. There is no limit to how many non-profits you can contribute to online during this special 24 hours of giving. And any amount that you choose to donate will be welcome and put to great use by our astonishing array of non-profits. In 2018, a record-breaking $2.4 million was raised for more than 100 non-profits by generous Parkites. Whether you are interested in the arts, education, animal welfare, community building, recreation, sports, or family, there are surely many non-profits that positively impact your life, whether Park City is your primary or second home.

What makes this day so fun is the enormous display of community engagement. You can expect to see your friends and neighbors waving signs on street corners and at local businesses reminding everyone to donate. Various non-profits hold fun events around town as well to thank their supporters and educate the public about their various missions.

While Live PC Give PC is technically a 24-hour charitable event, you can actually start donating in advance of the 8^th. Many non-profits have matching grants that will make your contribution go further. If you have never before participated as a donor during Live PC Give PC, this is the year to do so. A New Donor Challenge has been implemented to add $10 to each donation made by a donor who is new to Live PC Give PC. This Challenge starts at 12:01 a.m. on November 8 and covers the first 800 donations made by new donors. This is sponsored by Vail Resorts EpicPromise and Park City Mountain.

Naturally, it wouldn’t be a Park City event without a big bash! The day concludes with a lively celebration at High West Saloon from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. There is always live music and dancing, passed hors d’oeuvres, and fun updates about the dollars being raised. Every year sets a new record for unique donations and total funds raised, and we anticipate this year will be no exception. Live PC Give PC makes giving feel great!
