Autumn Aloft Hot Air Balloon Festival

Fall is one of the most magical times of the year in Park City. The crowds have dwindled, and the town truly belongs to the locals again. A favorite event that kicks off the season is the Autumn Aloft Hot Air Balloon Festival, presented by Wells Fargo. It returns to Park City for the fifth year, September 15 to16. The event first launched in the former silver mining town more than 30 years ago and was recently resurrected as a way for visitors and residents of all ages to celebrate Park City and embrace autumn.

Spectators view up to 24 hot air balloons inflating and launching from locations throughout Park City. Park City residents and visitors often see hot air balloons from afar, but nothing compares to experiencing the magnitude of the aircraft

Miners' Day

Summer sure does fly by in Park City thanks to our abundance of activities, events, and perfect weather. It’s hard to believe we are somehow nearly through August! That means we are just days away from Labor Day. Since Park City has a history of marching to the beat of its own drum, we celebrate Miners’ Day instead. Intended to commemorate Park City’s silver mining heritage, the Miners' Day festivities on Monday, Sept. 3 are fun and funky. Unlike the July 4th holiday that attracts throngs of visitors, Miners’ Day is truly ruled by the locals.

The day begins in City Park with the Miners’ Day breakfast and Bark City 5K run where running with your furry companion is encouraged. The signature Running of the Balls event, inspired by Pamplona's Running

Park City breweries and distilleries

While the Greatest Snow on Earth may be Utah’s most famous product, distilled spirits are catching up in gaining notoriety. That’s right…a state that has commonly been viewed as restrictive when it comes to alcoholic beverages is producing some mighty fine beer and spirits. The most internationally recognized brand, of course, is Park City’s own High West Distillery, which now has its operations on the outskirts of town in Wanship at Blue Sky Ranch. While High West put Utah on the map for craft spirits, the much longer running local institution – Wasatch Brewery – has been brewing tasty craft beer since 1986. The success of both businesses has inspired others to follow suit. Whether you are a connoisseur, looking to become more knowledgeable, or

Park City has long been dubbed “Bark City” due to our dog-centric lifestyle. And we don’t limit our dog-obsessed culture to mountain biking and hiking with our dogs. We dine with them whenever possible during our gorgeous summer months. Throughout Park City, there are an array of outdoor dining patios at various restaurants that welcome Fido.
