Short Sales, Foreclosures, Bank Owned and REO Listing properties in the Park City area are not always the best properties to be looking at. Most of these distressed properties are simply that - distressed properties. For some reason, whether location, poor condition, over built for location, over leveraged financing, etc., they failed to sell, and are now in trouble usually because nobody wanted them at market value in our de-valued market, and probably nobody will want them at market value when we return to a better, more healthy market down the road. So don't focus only on Short Sales and Foreclosures, there are many great deals to find, that may be better properties, may be better long term investments, and no headache of dealing with the banks.
