What began as a humble, silver mining town in the heart of the Wasatch has developed into a vibrant city, brimming with economic growth and opportunity. Park City’s natural beauty has been an allure for artists of all types, and it has evolved into a thriving community for visual arts. With increased exposure and interest in the area, both local and national artists have long benefitted from a flourishing art market, burgeoning with talent and investment opportunity. Art galleries, both diverse in style and representation, quickly blossomed all around town and bring visitors through their doors daily. In fact, the community’s affinity for the arts has been the impetus for a new arts and culture district that is being planned for the Prospector neighborhood in the heart of Park City.

With so much art to experience, finding the starting point can be overwhelming. Thankfully, on the last Friday of every month, the Park City Gallery Association hosts a fun and free community event to highlight artists and special exhibits in art galleries throughout town. No matter your personal taste or level of knowledge, the Last Friday Gallery Stroll offers interest and inspiration for all. From 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on March 27, 19 galleries will open their doors for guests to enjoy light refreshments and current art installations. Some galleries will have their featured artists on hand, providing an exceptional opportunity mingle with the makers. Savor the springtime with a Main Street stroll through the diverse array of galleries. If you’re updating your Park City home this spring or purchasing a new one, this is a great opportunity to curate your new selection.

Many of the participating galleries are located right on or near Historic Main Street and can be accessed using Park City’s free public transportation! Check out the 18 participating galleries below. Directions can be found on the Park City Gallery Stroll website.
