LIVE PC GIVE PC - NOVEMBER 9th

The spirit of Park City shines brightest during the community’s annual day of giving, Live PC Give PC. Spearheaded by the Park City Community Foundation every November, it’s an effort to raise as much money as possible for more than 100 local non-profits in a single 24-hour period. This year, Live PC Give PC will be held on Friday, November 9. From children to adults and those of modest means to the wealthiest members of the community, all are encouraged to participate and give what they can to the non-profits of their choice. Last year, more than 4,000 donors contributed a record $2 million-plus to 107 non-profits. In the seven years since Live PC Give PC launched, nearly $8 million has been raised. How remarkable is that? Each year, the goal is to raise more than the previous and to have more unique donors participate.

Expect to see enthusiastic community members out and about all day on November 9 in their orange Live PC Give PC t-shirts, holding signs and reminding people to give. Giving is easy and can be done online at www.livepcgivepc.org. With so many Park City non-profits, there are guaranteed to be ones to cater to varying interests, whether it’s animals, healthcare, open space and recreation, domestic violence, or arts and culture. Many non-profits receive matching grants to encourage more donations.

Throughout the day and evening, several non-profits host parties and open houses. It all culminates with one big bash at High West Distillery on Friday evening. It’s an extraordinary showing of locals who are there to celebrate philanthropy and the wonderful non-profits who do so much for Park City. Our town would truly not be the same without them.

Live PC Give PC is a day that embodies the greatness of Park City. What a great reminder that our town is more than a ski destination; it’s a community. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone who lives, works and plays in Summit County to give back to the local non-profits. Whether a primary or second homeowner, we encourage all of our clients and colleagues to participate in this incredible day and give what you can. If you live PC, be sure to give PC!
