If you’re looking for fabulously fun and local Park City events to spend your Hump Day and Sunday Funday, get your fill with the Park City Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays and the Park Silly Sunday Market.

Held seasonally in the Canyons Village parking lot at Park City Mountain, the Park City Farmer’s Market attracts locals and visitors seeking fresh produce from Utah farmers as well as some artisan crafts. Don’t just shop, but enjoy the chance to interact with the vendors who can tell you about their farms and how they grow their amazing products. You’ll even see chefs from local restaurants shopping for their menus. More than fruits and veggies, you can expect to find locally made breads, salsas, dips, baked sweets, and more. If you’re hosting a summer barbecue, the Farmer’s Market is a great place to find some unique, specialty items to serve. The market is held on Wednesdays, noon to 5:00 p.m. and typically runs through October. Check back regularly as new produce will become available as the growing season progresses. And it was a late start this year after all that snow!

It’s hard to believe the Park Silly Sunday is already in its 13th season! What began as a small street fair that primarily attracted Park City residents and some visitors now draws a crowd of a couple thousand visitors every Sunday on the lower part of Historic Main Street to Heber Avenue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The very bottom of Main, near the Trolley turnaround, is a beer garden, Bloody Mary Bar and a variety of local food vendors. There is also the Main Stage with different live music performances throughout the day – grab a table and enjoy some grub while checking out local music! Work your way up the street to discover unique art, crafts, clothing, jewelry and other novelties like handmade dog collars from a rotating array of vendors. There are also plenty of attractions to keep the kids entertained - face painting, a mechanical bull, bounce house, and snow cones, to name a few! Stroll uphill past Heber Avenue to 5th Street, where the post office is, to reach the farmer’s market. Pick up some fresh items for your Sunday dinner! We love the bread dips; be sure to sample those.

Locals’ Tip – Arrive early to the market to beat the crowds and heat or get there an hour or so before closing. Parking fees for the market have increased to $5 per hour, so consider parking at Park City High School and hopping on the free shuttle. Or take a beautiful walk or bike ride.

The Park Silly Sunday Market runs through September 22 and will take off the following dates to accommodate other events: August 4, 11, 18.
