Given the number of professional athletes living in Park City, those who come here to train, and the local kids who grow up participating in a wide range of mountain sports, this is a highly anticipated complex. Excavations began last year and have been in full swing in preparation for the grand opening this ski season. The planning and building stages of Woodward have blossomed into a full-scale, massive adventure and action park that will draw families and athletes from near and far. As we have recently reported, the Jordanelle area is booming. And it’s more than just real estate development. Last week, New York City-based developer Extell Development Company announced it will build the first major, full-service ski resort in America since 1980. Located adjacent to Deer Valley Resort on the Jordanelle side, Mayflower Mountain Resort may be operating as soon as the 2021 ski season.
