Deer Valley Resort is hosting its inaugural Mountain Beer Festival on September 17 and 18, from 11 am to 4 pm. Utah has a celebrated brewing culture, including smaller producers such as Offset Bier and Park City Brewing to more nationally recognized breweries including Squatters and Uinta. The beer festival is an excellent opportunity to sample a wide range of flavors and styles from over a dozen Utah brewers.

For many locals, the fall season is the best time to be in Park City, and there could not be a better location for a beer festival than Silver Lake Village, with a backdrop of the resort's surrounding peaks. charlies 9k trail in park city utah

If you are visiting Park City and only have time to do one mountain bike ride, a trail we would recommend is Charlie's 9K Trail. As the name implies, the 9K Trail meanders up and down at an elevation of around 9000 feet. This trail is similar to the very popular Mid-Mountain Trail at 8000 feet. Charlie's 9K is easy to get to and can be biked (or hiked) as an out-and-back, enabling you to determine how far out you want to go and simply turn around and ride back. In the hot summer months, this is an ideal trail to ride as it is at a high elevation which is naturally cooler. Additionally, much of the ride is under the canopy of a mix of aspens and fir trees, providing a nice amount of shade from the sun.

The 9K Trail is relatively easy to get to, and

provo river utah kayak trip

Are you looking for some outdoor fun for the entire family? Floating Utah's beautiful Provo River is a great way to beat the heat. The river meanders down a stunning canyon with Mount Timpanogos as a backdrop. It's one of the closest places to river rafting near Park City. The season typically runs from May through September.

There are numerous ways to float the river; you can raft, kayak, paddleboard, or tube your way down. High school and college-age kids tend to enjoy tubing more than other age groups. With tubing, you are more exposed to the chilly water and scratches from twigs and branches that line the shores. The inflatable raft is a better option if you have a group with older grandparents or younger kids.

Park City July 4th Celebration Parade

For 2021, Park City is changing up the schedule for one of our most popular holidays. Independence Day in Park City is widely regarded as one of the best times to visit. Over the years, this holiday has seen packed crowds, throughout the day, with many family-friendly activities. Park City has decided to space the holiday celebration over three days to space out the crowd levels as we emerge from the COVID pandemic. This year, the 4th of July falls on a Sunday. The famous Park City Parade will be on Friday the 2nd. For Saturday the 3rd, we'll have the Air Force Flyover and outdoor concerts at Park City's Canyons Village. Sunday will feature the Park Silly Sunday Market and a car-free Main Street.

We also want to remind the community that under the

Dollys bookstore in park city utah

Park City High School Class of 2020 yard signs are welcome sights on graduating students’ front years throughout our town. In light of the disruption of their senior year, this was a heartwarming way for high school staff to recognize them. Not only does this demonstrate Park City’s remarkable sense of community, but it serves as a reminder that we still have several occasions we need to find ways to celebrate, even in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to graduations, there are birthdays, anniversaries, and Mother’s Day coming up on May 10th. While Park City store fronts are closed due to the Summit County Stay at Home order, many are still offering online shopping or shopping by phone. Some even deliver gifts. There is no excuse to

Curbside restaurant pick up in Park City

During these uncertain times in the face of the coronavirus (COVID-1) pandemic, food is a great source of comfort. In a foodie haven like Park City, residents are grateful to still have access to delicious, local cuisine. While Summit County Health Department issued a temporary order to close restaurants and bars for dine-in offerings, they have allowed curbside pick-up and delivery. Many eateries have adapted their businesses to do just that. Not only does this provide welcome relief from cooking, but it’s an effort to sustain local businesses that are being heavily impacted in our tourism-driven town. Another option for supporting restaurants and local shops is to purchase gift cards. This provides much-needed revenue, and you can use them or give
