Celebrate the Holidays with Snowfest Events

When it comes to winter, nowhere knows (or snows) better than Park City. We have plenty of reasons to celebrate the season, including the phenomenal early snow, the New Year right around the corner and, of course, the annual Snowfest hosted by Park City Mountain. From December 20 to January 5, make the most of the holiday magic and experience the lineup of daily activities. There’s something for everyone with the Snowfest event line up!

Santa Comes Down Town Lift
Saturday, December 21, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Town Lift Plaza

What could be more exciting than Santa himself descending into Park City on his sleigh? This holiday tradition lives on with Santa coming to town on none other than Town Lift. Bring your hats, mittens, and Christmas spirit to ring in the holiday with live music, hot cocoa, festivities, and more! Of course, Santa will be available after his sleigh ride for photo ops.

57th Annual Torchlight Parade
Tuesday, December 24, 5:30 p.m.
Park City Mountain Village

We challenge you to find a more magical experience than the annual Torchlight Parade in Park City. For the 57th year in a row, ski and snowboard instructors will ignite bright red torches and begin their descent towards Park City Mountain Village. A brilliant stream of red will illuminate the hillside as they proceed towards the crowd below, leading Santa along the way. Watch the unforgettable spectacle at the base of Pay Day Run and enjoy holiday cookies, hot chocolate, and cheer.

If you’re looking for a chance to unwind and watch some holiday films, bring the party to Family Apres Movie Nights. Sing along and quote the classics while enjoying snacks, games, and activities. Screenings include Elf, The Polar Express, A Christmas Story, and more! Movies will be shown on the big screen at Canyons Village.

Silver Sky Nights
Sunday, December 22, 3:00-6:00 p.m

Santa Claus is coming to town, and he is bringing the party! On the night of December 22, look to the sky to watch some incredible fireworks and a special grand silver finale. Before lighting up the night, join the fun in Canyons Village for an afternoon of live music by Streetcorner Boogie, hot cocoa and donuts, crafts and glow sticks.

Meet the Avalanche Dogs

The rescue teams that support the resorts include more than just people. Meet the fluffy friends that keep us safe on the slopes! Learn about the Avalanche Dogs’ snow skills, get paw-sitively perfect photo ops, and give our hillside heroes some extra scratches for Christmas.

New Year’s Eve Celebration and Fireworks
Tuesday, December 31, 3:30-9:00 p.m
Canyons Village

As one decade closes and another opens, Snowfest plans to property celebrate the start of 2020. For a whole afternoon, enjoy live music provided by The Cover Dogs and DJ Velvet on the Village Stage, snack on s’mores with hot cocoa, and hang out with the Avalanche Dogs. The theatrics begin at 7:30 p.m. with a glorious fireworks spectacle. Huddle close with family while ringing in the New Year under the colorful display.
