UTAH
OLYMPIC PARK
During the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, the venue welcomed
more than 300,000 visitors during 16 days of competition.
The Utah Olympic Park was the site of 14 events with three
in ski jumping, three in nordic combined, three in bobsled,
three in luge and two in skeleton.
The Flying Ace All-Stars Saturday
Freestyle Shows
High-flying
action as Olympic hopefuls and national team athletes put on
a 25 minute freestyle aerial show for spectators every Saturday
during the summer. This choreographed show with music will
leave you breathless as skiers and snowboarders will soar up
to 60 feet in the air and perform acrobatic feats before landing
in our 750,000 gallon splash pool. This is a great activity
for the whole family. Showtime is at noon.
Summer Bobsled Rides on “The
Comet”
Go up to 70 miles per hour, experience 4 G’s of force an equivalent of
a 40-story drop in just over a minute on a wheeled bobsled public passenger ride.
An experienced driver takes three passengers on a thrilling ride down the entire
length of the Olympic bobsled track.
Advenure Camps
These camps are for youth ages 9-14 and will provide a once in a lifetime opportunity
to try 10 Olympic sports. Experienced coaches will provide each camper with expert
instruction and proper equipment as you experience ice hockey, speed skating,
figure skating, luge, bobsled, ski jumping, biathlon, curling, freestyle and
skeleton.
