SOLITUDE
RESORT
Solitude is the consummate alpine retreat. Located in the
heart of the Wasatch Mountains, Solitude boasts an endless
list of "must haves" for the perfect winter vacation.
A cozy European-style pedestrian village features pampering
facilities and first-class dining, all the while maintaining
the casual atmosphere that so many families have come to
cherish-with numerous activities for children and parents
alike. With over 500 inches of annual snowfall and a smattering
of varied terrain, Solitude greets all levels of skiers and
riders with open arms.
Honeycomb Canyon is every true powder seekers dream come true.
With expansive, over-the-top views, vertiginous limestone cliffs
and pleasantly vacant trails, Honeycomb Canyon offers a legitimate
lift-served backcountry experience in-bounds. However, guests
will not have to surrender the safety and access which defines
a typical resort experience. Tempt fate in any of the canyon's
steep, powder-filled chutes or try to suppress a smile as you
glide effortlessly down perfect tree runs. It's hard to forget
the scenic wonder and challenging terrain that is Honeycomb
Canyon-chances are good that once won't be enough.

Solitude has long been revered as an unforgettable place for
families to visit and make memories to last a lifetime. With
its low key terrain park, these memories will be of wide toothy
grins and unstoppable laughter instead of tears and hospital
visits. Solitude's terrain park features are all snow-based
and focus on fun, while keeping safety in mind as well. Catch
air, slide a fun box, or simply piddle around on the small
to medium-sized table tops-you're sure to enjoy Solitude family-friendly
terrain park.
Summer Solitude
Offering lift served hiking, mountain biking and disc golf Wednesday – Sunday,
Solitude is the perfect alpine retreat. Our 20 miles of forested singletrack,
regarded as some of the best in the state, offers something for every rider.
Our Diggler® Mountain Scooters allow another way to enjoy the trails or just
to kick around the village on. Those looking for a slower pace will enjoy hiking
our trails that always lead to Solitude. Ride the lift up or hike from the village
to explore the depths of Solitude and Honeycomb canyons for an unforgettable
experience with spectacular alpine scenery, wildflowers and mining artifacts.
The 18 hole disc-golf course is a great way to get some exercise
while enjoying an exciting sport. Children can cast a line
into our fishing pond or adults can test their luck in the
waters of Big Cottonwood Creek. Rest your tired soles on the
patio at Creekside Restaurant by sampling the new summer dinner
menu inspired by the Tuscan region of Italy or at Sunday Brunch.
Visitors that find it difficult to leave will be delighted
to find tasteful accommodations in our pedestrian mountainside
village.
