SNOWBIRD
SKI RESORT
Snowbird and Alta have been named the No. 1 ski resort in
the United States by SKIING Magazine for four years running.
Peruvian Tunnel Details
The first of its kind in North America,
Snowbird’s new
nearly 600-foot tunnel houses a conveyor lift that will transport
skiers and riders from Peruvian Gulch into Mineral Basin. Located
at the top of the new Peruvian Express high-speed quad, the
12-foot high, 10-foot wide tunnel provides a four-minute ride
to intermediate terrain in Mineral Basin. The new tunnel and
lift makes intermediate terrain more accessible to skiers and
riders by eliminating many switchbacks and the steepest pitch
of Chip’s Run. It also provides an efficient way to reach
Hidden Peak without the use of the Tram.

Snowbird Alpine Village
There are 7 restaurants, 5 lounges, a full service pharmacy,
post office, grocery deli, internet café, liquor store,
other concessions and several unique gift shops situated
throughout the village.
The paved walkways from each of our lodges make getting around
the resort convenient for our guests. Our Barrier Free Trail
is a stunning one mile round-trip nature walk that begins at
the Skier’s bridge and ends up a beautiful observation
deck overlooking the Gad Valley. Adults and children of all
ages can enjoy this low impact hike. The trail is also wheelchair
accessible.
The Snowbird Activity Center and many of our mountain’s
favorite activities are accessible from the plaza deck right
next to our famous aerial TRAM.
Between our magnificent Cliff
Spa, tennis courts, fish pond, playground, horseback riding,
ATV tours, Alpine Slide, ZipRider, Bungy trampoline and more… there
is something for everyone at Snowbird and whether winter or
summer… we promise to keep you invigorated and make
your mountain adventure a most memorable experience.
Summer Activities and Events
Nestled in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort is only
30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and 15 minutes from the heart of Sandy.
As temperatures rise in the Salt Lake Valley, take the short drive up Little
Cottonwood Canyon for a relaxing summer getaway.
From concerts and festivals to guided hikes and scenic Aerial
Tram rides to Hidden Peak, there is something for the entire
family to enjoy. Other mountain activities include hiking,
fishing, horseback and ATV tours in Mineral Basin, mountain
scooters and mountain biking. If one exhilarating ride down
the Alpine Slide is just not enough, Snowbird offers an All-Day
Activities Pass. In addition to providing unlimited, daily
use of the ZipRider, Aerial Tram, Alpine Slide and Bungy Trampoline,
the pass now includes a mechanical bull, kid's inflatable playland
and rides on the new Peruvian Express Chairlift and tunnel.
If one ride is all you need, try out the Combination Ticket.
Relax and enjoy patio dining on summer fare and experience
exquisite views at the nearly 900-room resort.
