Heber Valley & Eastern Summit
County
Rural character, recreational opportunities, a laidback lifestyle
and easy access to Park City characterize the neighboring
communities in Wasatch Country and Eastern Summit County.
Wasatch County’s Heber Valley is idyllically set
between the Jordanelle and Deer Creek Reservoirs, with stunning views of Mount
Timpanogos. The communities in this county, including Heber, Midway, Charleston
and Wallsberg, are growing rapidly, but still retain their traditional roots.
Boating opportunities abound on the reservoirs, The Homestead and Wasatch golf
courses provide other diversions and the Provo River offers Blue Ribbon trout
fishing throughout the scenic Heber Valley.
Eastern Summit County, proud to maintain a different identity
than its western, resort-oriented counterpart, offers ranching
heritage, pastoral settings, abundant recreational opportunities
and plenty of space to settle into. Kamas, Oakley and Peoa
are located only 15 minutes from Park City. In addition to
serving as gateways to the Uinta Mountains, these communities
boast rural charm with a dose of small-town spunk. The scenic
valley of Woodland, with its world-class fly-fishing waters,
is growing in popularity and is now home to the developments
of Wolf Creek Ranch and Victory Ranch. The county seat, Coalville,
is the second-largest town in Summit Country, and is located
along the Weber River between the Echo and Rockport Reservoirs.
