SPRING IS IN THE AIR

The days are longer and temperatures are warmer, which means Spring Skiing is among us! As we are all still hoping for one more powder day, we can still enjoy the benefits of what spring brings to Park City. There are still several exciting events before the close of the season.

St Patrick's Day celebrations - PCMR will have live music on the Pay Day Deck in the Park City Mountain Village, and on the Canyons Village Stage, for their annual St Patrick’s Day celebration. There will also be après food specials at Umbrella Bar at Canyons Village. As for Deer Valley, they are offering complimentary cookies and hot chocolate on Snow Park Plaza and the Silver Lake Beach from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Also be sure to check out the live entertainment from 1 to 4 pm on the Silver Lake Beach (weather permitting) or stop by the EBS lounge in the Snow Park Lodge from 2 to 5:30 pm for live music and après food and drink specials.

Egg hunts and Easter celebrations - Vail has the all mountain egg hunt returning this year. With more than 7,000 eggs scattered around the resort, the eggs will hold treats for all ages, those up for a real Easter challenge can look for any of our four Golden Eggs - each holding a very special prize that is worth the hunt. Kids ages 6 and under can participate in their own hunt in the Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village, while kids older than 6 can find eggs on First Time Run, on the Park City side. All hunts start promptly at 9 am. And up in Deer Valley, the Easter Bunny will be visiting guests in the Snow Park Lodge area from 9 to 11 a.m. From noon to 1:30 p.m. The Easter Bunny will meet guests in the Silver Lake Lodge area. Guests and their children are invited to bring a camera and take their picture with the Easter Bunny.

Spring Grüv at PCMR, for 16 days they will be having huge, free concerts in the two villages, as well as the 22nd Annual Pond Skimming Contest! It's one of those traditions that has been wild from the start. The Pond Skimming Contest is Park City's most popular party and is the true indicator that spring has arrived. Contestants must dress in costume (the funkier the better) as they attempt to cross a 100-foot pond on skis or a snowboard. The pond and the excitement happen at mid-mountain just outside Red Pine Lodge. Must be 10 years of age or older to enter, and spectators will need a lift or gondola ticket to watch.

Vail's Spring Concert series is not to be missed, with the days are getting longer, and spring après season in Park City officially kicking off with a twin bill of live music. Local and national bands will play every weekend from Saturday, March 3 through the end of the season at either of the resort base areas. Unbuckle those boots, kick back, and celebrate a great spring day on the mountain with some free live music!

Definitely get out and Enjoy Park City in the Spring, you won't regret it!!
