KPCW back alley bash event flyer

On Friday August 18th, KPCW will kick off their annual pledge drive with a Bang!! KPCW and Cole Sports are throwing a Back Alley Bash. And from the looks of the sponsor list, this is one bash you can't afford to miss. Sponsors will include Cole Sports, Budweiser, Kumbayah Kitchens, The Bridge Cafe, Town Lift Plaza, Davanza's, High West Distilleries, and Butcher's Chop House. The Back Alley Bash starts at 5pm at the Town Lift Plaza and is FREE. There will be face painters, ballon artists, kids activities, and of course live music!!! Which as you know is a must when throwing any bash in Park City. Also there will be food and drinks available for purchase, all proceeds will be going to KPCW supporting local radio.

The MARC in Park Meadows

The PC MARC (Park City Municipal Athletic & Recreation Center) is well known and very popular among Park City locals and seasonal visitors. The newly updated MARC building is found on Little Kate road in the neighborhood of Park Meadows. The spacious building and grounds feature 11 tennis courts, 4 pickle ball courts, a basketball gym, a bouldering wall where you can transverse nearly 50 linear feet and upwards of 12 feet. There is also an indoor track, which is great for those winter months we are so famous for here in Park City. Park City now has the bragging rights to the nations first all e-bike share program.  Summit County Councilman Roger Armstrong took his first e-bike ( pedal assisted electric motor) ride last summer and felt that this may be one of solutions needed to get people out of cars and trying alternative means of transportation,” he relates. On July 13 and 20, the Park City Council passed the approval of a purchase agreement for a 5.25-acre parcel in the City’s Bonanza Park neighborhood for $19.5 million to form the City’s first-ever Arts & Culture District, with Sundance Institute and the Kimball Art Center as anchor partners. Park City plans to impose a one-percent transient room (lodging) tax to pay for the initial land purchase and development of the site.
